Scales as defined for your instrument, audition excerpts (available at the link below) and a one and one-half to two minute solo of your choosing.

• Strings: All 3 octave Major & Minor Scales up to 4 sharps and 4 flats plus arpeggios.
• Two scales will be chosen for the audition.
• Winds & brass:  All 12 major, 2 octave scales either linked together in circle of 4th or ascending chromatically. You may audition on the excerpts listed below OR play the AMEA Regional Excerpts #1, #2, #3 (available from your school band director) 
• Harp: play the Swan Lake cadenza from the audition excerpts a one and one-half to two minute solo of your choosing.
• Percussion: play the audition excerpts listed OR ask your school band director for the AMEA Regional Excerpts #1, #2, #3.  Concentrate on the snare drum parts if not all instruments are available.
